The Montblanc Donation Pen collection pays homage to the most famous classical musicians of the past. The Donation Pen supports carefully selected cultural projects with a donation of 20 euros for each fountain pen and 10 euros for each ballpoint or rollerball pen. This year's edition pays homage to Frédéric Chopin, Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. Celebrating his admiration for the piano, the platinum-coated clip is shaped like a piano gavel. In homage to his famous "Note Bleue", the ink window of this Special Edition is blue. The cap ring bears the musical notes of Chopin's first nocturne, the “Nocturne in B flat minor, Op. 9, n.1", published in 1832. The cap and barrel are in black precious resin with platinum.The special gift box also contains a small notepad decorated with musical notes from his famous nocturne.The handcrafted two-tone Au 585 solid gold nib features a portrait of Frédéric Chopin.
