LUCIE KAAS ALADDIN SANE H 21.5 CM

For the Sketch.inc for Lucie Kaas collection, the Danish designer Becky Kemp was inspired by the ancient Japanese "kokeshi" dolls, real works of art that tell past stories and tradition.

Born from a single piece of precious wood, worked and painted by hand, the style of these dolls is unmistakable and demonstrates how with a few simple lines it is possible to create design objects with a great aesthetic impact.

The slender and cylindrical body forms the basis for the head, round and larger than the figure, to enhance the face of the character, also made with stylized lines and Kokeshi Doll includes some of the greatest characters in history and artists of the past in the field of fashion, art and music who have become true icons of fashion and style.
